Hye everyone,

I'm so ecstatic because I'll be going on a holiday for 2 weeks! The places that I'll be going are my ULTIMATE vacay destination (hint: I'm not the beach holiday type), although I will be going to an island for a week. HAHA, but that's an exception! cz it's so prettyyyyy. I seriously cannot wait. You want to know where I'll be going soon? hehe, you might just have to wait for the blog post to be up! Till then xx

BEAUTY REVIEW: NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer & Pressed Powder

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer

I am crazy for concealers. I have a few but my favourite would be Maybelline Age Rewind concealer (bought in Australia). Unfortunately, I bought the wrong shade. I accidentally took the lightest shade which is Light Pale. It is so light on my skin tone that whenever I take pictures I can see white cast under my eyes. That's not attractive right?

So, I bought NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Medium2 Ginger. I must say this purchase wasn't necessary at all as I still have my MAC Duo Concealer. I would like to take this opportunity to blame YouTube for luring me into buying the NARS concealer. LOL. The MAC concealer is okay, it covers my dark circle but only for a while. After 1 or 2 hours, it'll start to get a bit patchy.

I've had the NARS Concealer for quite some time now. So, it'll be fair to review it. My thoughts: very creamy, smooth and easily to blend with a brush/sponge (fingers: not so much, looks a bit patchy). However, this concealer highlights my dry patches & tend to look patchy after long hours (after 4 hours) of wearing it. That's the only thing that I don't like about it.

This concealer feels light on the skin, not the heavy type which is a plus point. I don't like heavy concealer, makes it look even more fake than it already is. In terms of covering any imperfections, I think it does a pretty good job considering it's on the pricey side (RM112). In terms of lasting, it does get a bit patchy after 4-5 hours of wear. But I think that differs by condition (sunny, winter, etc).

My verdict: I prefer the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer. Hands down the best concealer and cheaper !!

NARS Pressed Powder

Nothing much to say, I like it but not to the point where I love it so much. It does go well with the concealer though. To me, you can get a cheap powder that does the exact same thing. For example, Sephora Collection Mattifying Pressed Powder/Powder Foundation or Catrice Pressed Powder (available at Guardian). There's no need to break the bank by getting a powder that cost RM145 (if i'm not mistaken).

My verdict: Not worth your bucks! I prefer the Sephora Collection Pressed Powder more than this one!

__________

Would I recommend you to buy? Well...it's all up to you. But I would recommend you to go try at NARS just to experience it and then decide whether you should get it or otherwise.

I KNOW ! I KNOW ! This is longgggg overdue. So, here we go… I've compiled pictures into frames. Because they were so many nice photos to show !! I cannot show all, obviouslyyy cz it'd never end (like seriously!) hehe.

Our 1st day in Melbourne! Yayy, super excited :D First thing first, we went to Queen Victoria Market! The place is so huge! Seriously! We can't cover the whole place in a day. So, yeaps there's a second trip aite. HIHI. Btw, if you would like to buy souvenirs, this is the place to get some. Some of the shops sell it for a cheap price. Got a pack of 4 keychains (total of 24 keychains) for $10. It's quite all right if you ask me :) OH ! You have to try the churros & jam doughnuts they sold here! It's delicious.

Later in the afternoon, my friend toured us around Melbourne City and i must say it's beautiful! We walked for hours and hours just so that we are familiar with the city and trying to experience being a "Melby". When it's time to eat, we had late lunch at this Indonesian restaurant called BLOK M. Which is quite a hit for Malaysians who are living or traveling here. I ate ayam balado, i must say it is quite spicy ! I stopped eating halfway cz i couldn't handle the spiciness :( But, the balado gravy was so so good!!

Day 2.
It's Sunday ! That means Sunday Market !! hehe. We went to Camberwell Sunday Market. The market is so much fun!! You can find all sorts of things, from glasswares to toys to clothing bits to flowers and even vintage army collections! It took us approximately 3 hours to complete the market. Like 3 hours (more or less) to cover everything! After browsing around, we head to Sofia for lunch. It's a Lebanese restaurant (HALAL) All three of us ate pastas. Oh boy, we were so full that day we had to box our food! The portion of the dishes is HUGE! You must share at least 2 person per dish. The pricing is tad bit expensive but it is reasonable based on the serving portion!

After lunch, we went to St. Kilda Beach & the sunday market there.
The market is caters more to handmade artistes. A bit pricey for my liking :(
After strolling around the beach, we head to the city to go to Hosier Lane! It's a lane which is full of graffitis sprayed by the local artist.

The reason why i skipped the 3rd day is because we spent the whole day at Direct Factory Outlet at South Wharf!! HAHAHA. Yes, we stayed till the shops closed :P

Let's talk about our 4th day shall we :3 So, on the fourth day we went to Great Ocean Road.
I have one word for this place. BREATHTAKING ! I loveee lovee lovee this place so much!
We went there by renting a car and drove for 3 hours from Melbourne.
Amazing roadtrip! *Thanks Shazana for driving*
Although, when we were about to go back from that place.
We got lost for a while cz we didn't have coverage to use Waze. HAHA.
Funny, but we survived ! *yay*

Here's a short video:

Day 5.
In the morning we went to Queen Victoria Market *again!*
I love this market so much. SO HUGE! LOVE IT!
Later in the afternoon, we straight away took a train towards Brighton Beach!
The houses there were amazing, so big so beautiful.
Brighton beach itself was amazingly beautiful !
The colorful beach shack was so cute!
You can adore a whole stretch of colorful beach shack goodness *nyums*
We wanted to stay for the sunset while eating our kebabs, but it was so cold.. we just couldn't *BRRRRRR*
After finishing our kebabs, we headed back to the city!
And guess where we went?!
YES! EUREKA SKYDECK!!
I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
SO SO BEAUTIFUL!
Melbourne City is so beautiful at night.
You can actually see that Melbourne City is so organized !
I'm speechless at the skydeck. Just amazed by the beautiful city.

Day 6.
This day is all about food & of course last minute shopping! We went cafe hopping, hunting for the best cafe in town. First stop, Top Paddock. The ambience of Top Paddock was amazing. The cafe is spacious, lots of natural light coming in and the fire pit was amazing. It's really simplicity at its best. Then, next stop was a coffee shop. We didn't go in to this one because we were so full, lol. Right after we went to Manchester Press. THE SMOKED SALMON BAGEL WAS DA BOMB!! For the price you're paying, it's so worth it! The last cafe we went to was Hardware Societe Cafe for desserts ! Nyums. I try a zucchini chocolate cake !! which was actually good…(wasn't a fan of zucchini back then) For dinner, we went to this italian restaurant to celebrate Shazana's birthday. The food was amazing and the ambience is sooooo nice. There were lamp lights all over the restaurant, so romantic. hehe.

Don't throw out your old shoes !

Why throw your old/new shoes? Just because the color is not the same as it was before? You spilled drinks on it? It's such a waste to just throw out your shoes, no? Well, that's what happened to me! I have a shoe that has changed color due to the weather. My pumps was originally black. But after awhile i noticed, my left shoe has changed to grey. I love this pumps so much, i wore it to my graduation last year and i don't want to throw away my memory just like that. Besides, the shoes is still in a good condition except for the color tho… The only solution that came across my mind was "why don't you dye your shoe? you dye-ed your jeans before. it's the same thing right?"

So, i went online to check where in Malaysia sells shoe dye. While i was online, i found only one store that sells it online called "creative cottage" (www.creativecottageonline.com, RM19.50) Knowing me, i don't like to wait. Thus, i went out on a search for shoe dye at various shops at various malls. Still no luck… Until i found one shop that informed me "you can try ace hardware. they might have it". Guess what?! they do ! i went to the nearest ACE Hardware which is located at Citta Mall. The dye is placed near the cashier. I payed RM17 for it. Much cheaper than the shop online.

The pictures of my pumps & the dye:

This dye is for suede & nubuck material.
They do sell leather dye, try check it out :)
I bought it in BLACK.

The solution comes with a free brush for easy application.
The container is mine tho. Bare in mind this solution will leave stains.
So, you need to be careful. Wear a glove if you like.
OH ! and a lil' does go a long wayyy.
I could dye another pair of shoes if i like! haha.

Tadaaaa ! My refurbished pumps!
All black againnnnn, LOVE!

Etude House, SaSa & Online Haul

As promised, here are the photos of the items i bought yesterday.

ETUDE HOUSE

Wonder Pore Freshner Mist, RM20

I bought this one because i wanted a mist in my makeup routine.
I love the feeling of slightly dewy and fresh before applying makeup.
However, this one can also be applied any time of the day!
Even on top of your makeup, after your shower, after a long run, at the beach.. you name it!
I read somewhere that this could be a toner too. So, plus point !

I'm Blooming Bubble Peeling Dual Pad, RM5

I have been using Body Shop's Facial Buffer for ages !
I decided that I needed a new one and this only cost me RM5 while the Body Shop's is around RM14.
Cheap no? And it is super soft!!

Dear Darling Neon Tint in 03, RM10

Before i say anything about this, i just wanna say i love lip tints so much!
Lip tints always gives a natural finish unlike lipstick where it's just too heavy & can look a lil' cakey?
Not that i do not own any lipsticks, i have plenty & i love every one of it!
BUT lip tints is always the BEST choice for any occasion!
Okay, let's continue...

The consistency of this lip tint is a bit watery to my liking.
It smells wonderful but taste horrible! LOL (I accidentally licked it!)
However, i really do like the color.
The packaging refers to it as neon, but in my opinion it's very subtle neon.
It's kind of a subtle hot pink. Very sheer too. Just nice.

Kissful Tint Choux (6131), RM10

This one is my favourite! I LOVE THE COLOR.
It's a bit sticky at first and has the same consistency as a lipgloss.
But after a few minutes, it'll be just like a normal tint without that gloss shine.
I recommend this one if you are looking for a new lip tint.
The color is a bit intense than others, but that's just the way i like it.

Kissful Tint Choux (6133), RM10

I haven't tried this one yet. But this is a lighter version of the previous picture.
The consistency is the same.
Nothing to say about this tho...

Wonder Pore Freshner (which basically is a toner -.-)
Both my friend & i got this one as a complimentary sample.
Probably because we are their only customer for the day, LOL.

This one i assumed is just the same as the Wonder Pore Freshner Mist. Does the same thing too apparently. So, nothing special about this one. Just a toner in a mini packaging (:

SaSa

Eyebrow stencil, RM4.90
It comes in 4 shapes in a pack.

I only like one stencil out of 4, because the rest was too thin for my eyebrows.

Cybercolor Auto Eyebrow Pen (Gray Brown,6), RM14

Loving this eyebrow pencil !
It's so easy to apply & the color is nice for my skin tone.
It also comes with a spooly brush at the other end.
You get 2-in-1 kinda thing, which i absolutely love..

ONLINE

Mini Brow Class, RM3
It has 3 shapes in a pack.
Anyone interested in korean eyebrow? This one is the one for you then!
It has super arc, slightly arc and soft arc.
(Not pretty sure if i described it correctly, but you know what i mean..right?)

of sushi and makeup

Yup. You guessed it right! I ate sushi today and bought some bits and bobs from etude house & sasa (: After i went to Poslaju near Glenmarie, i went to pick up my friend who lives nearby. I was craving for sushi all of a sudden! So i texted her to see if she wants to accompany me to eat sushi. Obviously, she said yes because if she did not, the title of this post would be different. hehe.

So, we ate at Sushi King, Setia City Mall. The nearest sushi outlet at my area (i think?) I'm pretty sure there were about 12 plates on the table. WE WERE SO FULL! 12 plates is a lot for us. My friend even had to take-away her sushi because she was so stuffed! LOL.

After the sushi sesh, we went to etude house. A korean makeup store, or makeup booth in this case. hehe. Etude house is having a sale. Buy 3 normal price items, you will get 30% off entire purchase. Sounds tempting right? Don't let the discount fool you tho, the price for their stuff is pretty expensive for its small packaging. The price starts around RM10 - RM100++. So… I don't know if it's worth my money.

Mostly the items i saw were priced at RM40 above. YIKES! So, while i was walking around looking looking. I saw a bargain corner that starts from RM10 - RM30. YAY! Therefore, i shopped a lil' ! I  bought 3 lip tints (RM10 each, before disc were RM26 each), a face sponge (RM5, before disc were RM20) and a makeup mist (RM20, before disc were RM70). We went to SaSa afterwards, bought an eyebrow pencil in gray brown (RM18) and also an eyebrow stencil (RM4.90). P/S: Pictures of the items bought i will upload later (:

Anddddd, that's the end of my Wednesday, sushi & shopping. Sound so normal, lol. Thanks for accompanying me ! :*
